Without God, nothing is possible. We have seen God do some amazing things with the people of Lighthouse Baptist Church. From raising families to answering specific prayer requests, God is alive and working in Cortez, CO. God has shown us time and again that if we submit to him, he will bless us. And bless us he has.

We have many opportunities to learn to grow more and take that next step of maturity in our lives. From Sunday school classes to fellowships, each of us has reason to trust God to meet our spiritual needs.

Sunday School

We have three Sunday school classes, each aimed at the different periods of life. The lessons are taught in ways so that we see what God has already given us for these times in our lives.

InsideOut Sunday School Class

Leader: Josh Tanner

Age: 18-35 - This class is for singles and young couples. God's word is opened up each week with practical truths for this early period of adult life. Helpful Biblical examples for raising kids, avoiding Satan's influences and joyfully succeeding in God's will for our lives.

Salt Shakers Sunday School Class

Leader: Steve Chappell

Age: 35-60 - Bro. Chappell takes time each week to study and know what God's word is saying, then spends the morning sharing it with those in this class. Solid, Biblical teaching is absolutely necessary to understand what God's will for this stage in your life is.

Wisdom Seekers Sunday School Class

Leader: Pastor Reed

Age: 60+ - Come and enjoy this time as Pastor Reed shares his heart and God's wisdom for His word. An excellent opportunity to hear Pastor open up and expound on what the Bible says. For some of the year, Bro. Lyle Eckleberry fills in and shares what he has learned from his decades of preaching and studying.
